April 2012 New Portuguese Producer

We have been working with Carlos Lucas, a co-founder of Dao Sul, for a long time and now that he is setting up on his own, with his new company Magnum Vinhos, we will carry on working with him. Click here to see his new range on offer.

26 March 2012 New Duty Rate

The rate of excise duty on alcohol was increased in the Budget on Wednesday 21st March. The increase on a 75cl bottle of still wine is 9p per bottle and on sparkling, champagne and fortified wines, it is 12p per bottle. For half-bottles and magnums, the duty increase is in proportion to the bottle size.

The new duty rate comes into effect on 26/3/12 so we will be implementing these increases on Monday 26th March.
